PAEPARD

The Platform for an Africa-Europe Partnership for Agricultural Research for Development (PAEPARD) is an eight-year project financed by the European Commission and partners’ own contributions with the objective of facilitating the multi-stakeholder partnerships between Africa and Europe in the field of agricultural research for development in order to contributing to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) which have become Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) since September 2015.
On the European side, AGRINATURA, an alliance of RAD institutions in Europe is one of the partners. Other partners are COLEACP (representing the private sector), CSA (representing NGOs), ICRA, specialized in capacity building in the field of ARD. AGRINATURA coordinates the European partners.

On the African side, partners are the Pan-African Farmers ‘Organization (PAFO) through its members, the Nairobi-based East African Farmers’ Federation (EAFF), the Network of Farmer Organizations and Producers (ROPPA) based in Ouagadougou, the Regional Platform of Peasant Organizations in Central Africa (PROPAC) based in Yaoundé. Among the African partners is also the Network for Analysis and Research on Food, Agricultural and Natural Resources Policies (FANRPAN) based in Pretoria. The FANRPAN mobilizes African stakeholders living in Southern Africa. The African Regional Forum for Agricultural Capacity Building (RUFORUM), based in Kampala, Uganda, is also one of the African partners.
