Over the years, agriculture in Africa has significantly moved towards commercialisation. However, despite the encouraging progress evident at the macro level, there is significant regional disparities in the rates of commercialization. Some regions/countries witnessed significant movement towards commercialisation, while in others remain stagnant due to inadequate inputs, access to finance, access to technology etc. The 17th session of the Pan-African FOs Exchange Platform, organized by PAFO in partnership with AHA, will focus on ” Commercialization of agriculture in Africa”, moderated by EAFF and SACAU.
Therefore, the overall purpose of the meeting will be to discuss a significant role contribution of Farmers Organizations (FOs) to transform African agriculture into a modern, competitive and commercially dynamic sector.
