The Pan-African Farmers’ Organization (PAFO) is excited to open opportunities for motivated and skilled volunteers to join our mission of empowering farmers across Africa. Volunteers play a vital role in extending PAFO’s reach, supporting programs, events, communications, research, and community engagement.

Why Volunteer with PAFO?
Volunteering with PAFO offers a unique chance to contribute to meaningful work while gaining practical experience in a professional, pan-African environment. Volunteers will work on diverse programs, including:

  • Youth & Women Empowerment – Supporting initiatives that amplify the voices and opportunities of young people and women in agriculture.
  • Knowledge Management & Research – Assisting in data collection, policy research, and analysis to inform agricultural decision-making.
  • Events & Community Engagement – Helping organize workshops, trainings, and forums that bring farmers, stakeholders, and experts together.
  • Communications & Advocacy – Crafting content, managing social media, and promoting PAFO’s mission and impact.

Who Can Apply?
We are looking for students or recent graduates in fields such as Agriculture, Communications, Development Studies, Policy, or related disciplines. Volunteers should be motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of French or other African languages is a plus.

Flexible, Hybrid Opportunities
PAFO offers hybrid volunteer positions that combine remote work with occasional in-person participation for events and field visits. Volunteers can contribute 8–20 hours per week, depending on their availability and assigned tasks.
